Where can I take the SAT in Madrid?

What SAT score is needed to get into an American or European university?

The SAT score required depends directly on the college to which you are applying. For very competitive American universities (Ivy League universities, MIT, Stanford), the range of admission scores is usually between 1480 and 1580. For American universities with good admission possibilities for European students – such as UC Santa Barbara, University of Michigan, NYU or Boston University – the range is between 1350 and 1450. For universities with higher admission rates, 1100-1250 is often sufficient.

The SAT is also a requirement or criterion for admission to some of the best European universities. In Spain, IE University sets a minimum of 1200, although competitive candidates usually submit scores between 1270 and 1460. Saint Louis University Madrid does not have an official requirement, but admitted candidates usually submit scores in the range of 1150 to 1250 points. ESADEone of the most prestigious business schools on the continent, has an average admission score of around 1350.

In Italy, Bocconi requires a minimum of approximately 1400 – although it varies according to the program and the student’s academic record -, LUISS Guido Carli sets a minimum of 1200 for both EU and non-EU students, and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore recommends a minimum of 560 per section, equivalent to 1120 in the comprehensive exam. The Politecnico di Milano accepts candidates with a minimum of 1240, and the University of Bologna recommends scores in the range of 1200-1300 or higher.
