The GED diploma consists of 4 exams. Each of the tests is evaluated individually and all of them must be passed in order to have a GED degree. In this article, we explain how GED tests are scored and when your scores will be available.

Pass the GED
In the GED, a passing test is given with a score of 145 points. This is a world standard. On some websites, they point out that in the state of New Jersey you need a score of 150 minimum points to pass each exam. If you take the GED in Spain you need 145 points to pass. The GED candidate who wants to study at university in the U.S. should know that the GED, in addition to having a pass or fail section, has 2 additional score levels:GED College Ready
The grade bracket known as College Ready is between 165 and 174 points. GED College Ready + Credit
The range of notes between 175 and 200 points is known as GED College Ready + Credit. A GED College Ready+Credit score determines that the candidate has knowledge that is taught in higher courses, so they could be eligible for college credit. Depending on the college to which you apply, a GED College Ready + Credit score may involve:- 3 credits in a math subject
- 3 credits in a social studies subject
- 3 credits in a science subject
- 1 credit in a humanities subject
Publication of GED Notes
The posting deadline for GED scores is 24 hours. However, it is very common that a few hours after completing one of the tests you have the result of your GED test.
