No cometas el error de pensar que el SAT ingl\u00e9s tiene algo que ver con los ex\u00e1menes a los que est\u00e1s acostumbrado. El examen parte de la base de que el candidato ya tiene un nivel alto de ingl\u00e9s y a partir de ah\u00ed mide su capacidad para analizar textos, argumentar con evidencia, dominar la estructura del discurso y aplicar las convenciones gramaticales del ingl\u00e9s est\u00e1ndar.<\/p><h3>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tipos de preguntas tiene el SAT Reading and Writing?<\/h3><p>A diferencia de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/epicexamprep.com\/es\/examen-sat\/sat-matematicas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">la secci\u00f3n de matem\u00e1ticas<\/a><\/strong>, en el SAT ingl\u00e9s solo encontrar\u00e1s preguntas tipo test. Todas las preguntas constan de cuatro opciones de las cuales \u00fanicamente una es correcta. Es importante que tengas en cuenta que en el Digital SAT las respuestas incorrectas no penalizan tu nota \u2014 por lo que siempre es mejor responder que dejar una pregunta en blanco.<\/p><h2>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los cuatro dominios de contenido del SAT Reading and Writing?<\/h2><p>El SAT Reading and Writing se divide en <strong>cuatro dominios <\/strong>de contenido oficiales: <strong>Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas y Conventions of Standard English<\/strong>. Cada dominio agrupa un conjunto de habilidades espec\u00edficas y tiene un peso diferente en la puntuaci\u00f3n final. Conocerlos en detalle no es opcional \u2014 es el punto de partida de cualquier preparaci\u00f3n seria.<\/p><h3>\u00bfQu\u00e9 eval\u00faa Information and Ideas?<\/h3><p>Information and Ideas eval\u00faa tu capacidad para comprender, interpretar y analizar textos e infograf\u00edas. Es el dominio con mayor peso relativo en el examen y cubre cuatro tipos de preguntas: ideas centrales y detalles (Central Ideas and Details), inferencias (Inferences), y dominio de la evidencia tanto textual como cuantitativa (Command of Evidence \u2014 Textual y Command of Evidence \u2014 Quantitative). reorganizado completamente la secci\u00f3n de lectura y escritura. En el papel exist\u00edan tres ex\u00e1menes separados \u2014 Reading, Writing y Math; ahora el Reading and Writing es un \u00fanico examen de 54 preguntas en dos m\u00f3dulos adaptativos. Los cambios m\u00e1s relevantes son los siguientes:<\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>N\u00famero de preguntas: <\/strong>de 96 preguntas (52 de Reading + 44 de Writing) a 54 preguntas en total, repartidas en dos m\u00f3dulos de 27.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Tiempo por pregunta: <\/strong>de un promedio de 62,5 segundos en el papel a aproximadamente 72 segundos en el digital.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Estructura de los textos:<\/strong> los cinco pasajes largos de 500\u2013700 palabras con 10 preguntas cada uno han desaparecido. Ahora cada pregunta tiene su propio p\u00e1rrafo de 100\u2013150 palabras \u2014 un cambio que favorece a los candidatos no nativos.<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Formato adaptativo: <\/strong>el rendimiento en el primer m\u00f3dulo determina la dificultad del segundo, lo que convierte el nivel del segundo m\u00f3dulo en una se\u00f1al directa de tu progreso.<\/li><\/ul><h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 nivel de ingl\u00e9s se necesita para el SAT Reading and Writing?<\/h2><p><strong>Un nivel avanzado de ingl\u00e9s es condici\u00f3n necesaria<\/strong> \u2014 pero no suficiente \u2014 para obtener una buena nota en el SAT Reading and Writing. El examen est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para evaluar a estudiantes norteamericanos de bachillerato, por lo que da por sentado un dominio nativo o muy alto del idioma.\u00a0<\/p><p>Tras preparar a miles de estudiantes europeos en EPIC Prep podemos garantizar que un nivel bajo de ingl\u00e9s hace imposible alcanzar una puntuaci\u00f3n competitiva, independientemente del tiempo de preparaci\u00f3n. Adopta esa mentalidad desde el primer d\u00eda de preparaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p><strong>El proceso tiene tres pilares:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Primero,<\/strong> dominar los cuatro dominios antes de hacer pr\u00e1ctica cronometrada: entender qu\u00e9 eval\u00faa cada tipo de pregunta y c\u00f3mo funciona la l\u00f3gica de respuesta del SAT.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Segundo,<\/strong> practicar por categor\u00edas hasta que la resoluci\u00f3n sea autom\u00e1tica \u2014 cada fracci\u00f3n de segundo ganada al reloj puede suponer una diferencia significativa en tu resultado final.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Tercero,<\/strong> trabajar espec\u00edficamente la puntuaci\u00f3n inglesa: las diferencias entre punto, punto y coma, dos puntos y gui\u00f3n son preguntas frecuentes y se preparan con precisi\u00f3n quir\u00fargica. Si en los primeros 5 segundos de lectura una pregunta no te resulta inmediatamente abordable, m\u00e1rcala con la herramienta de revisi\u00f3n del Bluebook y pasa a la siguiente \u2014 el tiempo que pierdes bloque\u00e1ndote en una pregunta dif\u00edcil es el mismo tiempo que podr\u00edas usar para asegurar tres respuestas m\u00e1s sencillas.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Antes del examen,<\/strong> decide si dejar\u00e1s el contador de tiempo visible o no: para algunos candidatos es un est\u00edmulo \u00fatil, para otros genera ansiedad que perjudica el rendimiento. La decisi\u00f3n correcta depende de tu perfil.
