What Steps Should I Follow to Register for the SAT?
To register for the SAT, you must complete 7 steps on the College Board website, from creating an account to printing the admission ticket.
- Visit the College Board website. The College Board is the organization that administers the SAT. To register, visit www.collegeboard.org and click on the “SAT” tab.
- Create an account. If you do not have a College Board account, click “Register Now” register and then “Create Account” create an account and fill in your personal information: name, date of birth and email address. Also create a username and password. Remember that the legal ID you register with is the one you must bring with you on test day.
- Choose the date and place of the exam. Once you have created your account, you can start the registration process. Choose the date and location of the exam that suits you best. You will find all available dates and centers on the website.
- Upload a photo. You will need to upload a photo of yourself to complete the registration. It must be recent, taken on a white or off-white background, and meet College Board technical requirements (JPG format, minimum 480 x 480 pixels). Follow the instructions carefully to avoid delays.
