Should I take the GRE or the GMAT?
Although both the GMAT and GRE are widely accepted for master’s and MBA programs, some elite MBA programs only accept GMAT scores.
The GMAT Focus Edition has a more challenging quantitative section, designed to measure advanced skills in numerical analysis and problem solving. On the other hand, on the GRE it is possible to skip between questions within the same section, which provides greater flexibility in time management.

Where can I take the GMAT test?
The GMAT offers two convenient options: take the exam at an official test center or from the comfort of your home with the “GMAT Online Exam.”
In Spain, there are several official GMAT test centers, mainly located in Madrid and Barcelona. For those who prefer more flexibility, the GMAT Online Exam allows you to take the exam from home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Before opting for this modality, it is important to make sure that you meet all the necessary technical requirements. This option is ideal if you prefer to take the exam in a controlled environment and at a time when you feel most prepared.

When should I take the GMAT?
Most MBA and Master’s programs have clearly defined admission deadlines, so it is crucial to plan your preparation with these deadlines in mind.
In addition to external factors, you should also consider internal factors, such as your current level and the time you can devote to preparing competitively for the GMAT. This exam requires thorough preparation, especially if you want to achieve a top score.

What is section customization on the GMAT?
Unlike the GRE, which includes a randomly assigned, unscored experimental section, the GMAT Focus Edition does not contain experimental blocks. Instead, the GMAT allows for a more personalized and efficient experience by offering candidates the option to choose the order in which they wish to complete the test sections.
For example, you can decide whether you prefer to start with Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning or Data Insights, depending on your personal strengths or strategies. This flexibility allows you to better manage your energy and concentration throughout the exam.
This unique GMAT feature helps optimize your performance by adapting to your preferences as a candidate, ensuring that you can approach the test strategically.
How does the GMAT handle Experimental Questions?
Unlike the GRE, which includes an optional research section at the end of the exam, the GMAT does not have a specific research or experimental section identified for candidates. However, it is important to note that, during the GMAT, unidentified experimental questions are included within the Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning sections. These questions do not affect your score, as their purpose is to help GMAC evaluate and calibrate future test questions. Since you cannot distinguish which questions are experimental, it is essential that you treat each question with equal attention and effort to maximize your performance on the GMAT.
