Roger Ferré
“My experience at EPIC has been unbeatable. I was looking for a center that helped me prepare for my MBA application, which includes the TOEFL and GMAT tests. Thanks to EPIC I scored 110 out of 120 on the TOEFL and 740 (97% percentile) on the GMAT."

GMAT (740)

Raul Perez
"I took the intensive GMAT course during this winter. Excellent methodology and above all good teachers. The teachers have been at all times very professional and attentive even at the end of the course until the date of the exam. Before I found EPIC Barcelona I went to another academy and I was quite disappointed with the preparation and the staff. Thanks to EPIC I got a score of 740 on the GMAT (before I got 540). Honestly, the teachers at this academy are a ten and very professional, they have helped me a lot in improving my weak points. Highly recommended."

GMAT Focus

Sofia de Ignacio
"Great experience with EPIC! Highly recommend to start studying for the GMAT "with EPIC. Provided me with great materials and wide experience during my preparation for both the GMAT and application process for the MBA. It was such a pleasure to have them during the whole process. In the end, I was accepted to each school I applied to, including INSEAD."

The GMAT in Frankfurt: Why Take It?

Frankfurt is Europe's financial capital — and the city's business schools reflect that. The GMAT is a highly preferred admissions exam for MBA and specialized master's programs at Frankfurt's leading institutions and at the most competitive schools across the continent. For professionals and recent graduates in Frankfurt, a strong GMAT score is not just a requirement to check off; it is the clearest signal you can send to an admissions committee that you are ready for the analytical rigor of a top program.

The GMAT Focus Edition tests quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning and data insights in a single adaptive exam — the three skills that business schools value most. For candidates in Frankfurt's banking, consulting and corporate sectors, those are skills you already use daily. The gap between using them at work and performing under GMAT conditions is what structured preparation closes.

The GMAT at Frankfurt's Leading Business Schools

Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is the city's top-ranked business school and accepts the GMAT for every graduate program it offers: the Full-Time MBA, the Master of Finance and the Master in Management. The GMAT is the preferred submission, though applicants may alternatively sit the Frankfurt School Admission Test. The average GMAT score among admitted MBA students is approximately 640–650, and the school is ranked 4th in Germany and 32nd in Europe for its MBA in the Financial Times 2025 ranking.

Goethe University's Faculty of Economics and Business accepts the GMAT for its Master in Management Science. The exam is not mandatory, but GMAT scores account for 6 percent of the admission score, and both the Verbal and Quantitative sections are evaluated independently. Candidates who submit no test result receive zero points for that criterion.

The Graduate School of Economics, Finance, and Management (GSEFM), a joint alliance between Goethe University, Mainz and Darmstadt, accepts the GMAT Quantitative Score as an alternative to the GRE for its MSQ program tracks in Quantitative Accounting, Quantitative Finance and Quantitative Marketing. For these tracks, a score at or above the 75th percentile demonstrates the quantitative proficiency GSEFM expects.

Where Does the GMAT Take You Beyond Frankfurt?

The GMAT is the standard admissions exam for the most competitive business programs in Europe and worldwide. A strong GMAT result earned in Frankfurt opens applications to INSEAD, London Business School, IESE, HEC Paris, the University of St. Gallen and SDA Bocconi — programs where a difference of 10 to 20 points on the GMAT can mean a percentile jump that matters in a highly competitive applicant pool. For candidates in Frankfurt who already know they want an MBA, the question is not whether to take the GMAT, but how to prepare for it.

Why Prepare in Frankfurt With a Specialized GMAT tutoring company?

A candidate in Frankfurt applying to a German School, INSEAD, or an international MBA is not only competing against classmates — they are up against professionals from around the world, many with months of GMAT-specific preparation already behind them. A strong academic record or a solid professional track record in Frankfurt's financial sector builds a real foundation, but it does not train the GMAT's particular logic, its adaptive pacing or its data-insights traps. That gap — in approach, not ability — is the first thing a specialist course works on.

That is the difference between preparing alone or with a general tutor, and preparing with a team that since 2010 has taken thousands of students to their target score. EPIC Prep in Frankfurt builds every GMAT course around individual, personalized tutoring. Sessions are designed around your schedule — so preparing for the GMAT fits alongside a demanding role in banking, consulting or corporate finance. Where a small group suits you better, we keep it intentionally small, so the standard of individual attention does not change.

Within EPIC Prep's structure, an entire team is devoted exclusively to GMAT preparation. Having a team fully committed to evolving and refining every aspect of the GMAT experience ensures that our courses deliver the highest standard of quality and remain at the cutting edge of preparation for you to achieve scores of 645–750+. Your own specialized GMAT tutor, exclusive content built specifically for this exam, and PrepDrills — our data-driven practice platform with 2,000+ GMAT exercises and instant feedback, tracking every question you answer and adjusting your plan as you improve.

EPIC Prep Frankfurt is an academy that specializes in the GMAT. Every course starts with a diagnostic assessment — your starting level, your target score and your exam date — before we design your plan around expert tutors, exclusive materials and the EPIC Prep Methodology.

Frequently Asked Questions About the GMAT Course in Frankfurt

This section compiles the answers to the questions we are most frequently asked by candidates in Frankfurt about the GMAT Focus Edition, in preparation for an MBA or a master’s degree in finance or management — ranging from the role it plays in the admissions process at Frankfurt School and Goethe University, to the structure and scoring system of the exam, the choice between taking the test at a center or at home, and the differences between the GMAT and the GRE.

Frankfurt School does not publish a minimum GMAT score, but the average among admitted MBA students is approximately 640–650. A competitive score for the Master of Finance and Master in Management programs typically falls in the same range. Applicants may alternatively sit the Frankfurt School Admission Test, but a strong GMAT score remains the preferred and most widely used submission path.

Yes. Goethe University’s Faculty of Economics and Business accepts the GMAT for its Master in Management Science. GMAT scores account for 6 percent of the total admission score, and both sections are evaluated independently. The exam is not mandatory, but submitting no test result means receiving zero points for that criterion. GSEFM also accepts the GMAT Quantitative Score for its MSQ tracks in Accounting, Finance and Marketing.

The GMAT is a computer-delivered test available both at Pearson VUE test centers and online. Frankfurt has authorized test centers where the exam is administered throughout the year. The online version is available in Germany and uses the same content, format and scoring as the test-center version. Proctoring support for the online GMAT is currently offered in English.

Both Frankfurt School and Goethe University accept the GMAT and the GRE. The GMAT is designed specifically for business school admissions and is the preferred exam at most MBA programs worldwide. Candidates who are applying exclusively to MBA or business master’s programs generally benefit from submitting a GMAT score. The GRE may be a better fit for candidates who are also considering non-business graduate programs, since a single GRE result covers both paths. Find more information in our guide to choosing between the GRE vs GMAT

Most students need 10 to 15 weeks of structured preparation to reach a competitive GMAT score. Candidates with a tight deadline can work through a highly intensive plan in 5 to 7 weeks. Students who are already advanced in their preparation may need only 3 to 5 weeks of focused work. EPIC Prep designs each course individually around the student’s starting level, target score and exam date.

Yes. EPIC Prep has dedicated teams for both the GMAT and the GRE. Each course is built around a different exam structure and a different student profile. GMAT preparation focuses on the Focus Edition’s adaptive format, data insights section and no-calculator quantitative reasoning. GRE preparation focuses on the broader vocabulary demands, the section-adaptive structure and the on-screen calculator. Students who are unsure which exam to take can begin with a diagnostic assessment to determine which test better suits their strengths.
