EPIC Prep was founded in 2010 by Jaclyn, a finance professional with an MBA who knew from her own path how decisive academic excellence and standardized test preparation are for admission into the most competitive programs. When she moved to Europe, she encountered the sharp inequality that students faced compared to the resources available in the United States. What began as a response to that gap has grown into a global mission: delivering world-class tutoring so that students everywhere can prepare with the same quality and compete on equal terms for admission to top universities and master’s programs.

Jaclyn returns to her passion for tutoring
After years working in finance, she reconnects with her earlier experience as a tutor during university, rediscovering her vocation for teaching.
EPIC is born in Milan
While teaching both independently and for other companies, Jaclyn creates the EPIC brand, focusing on SAT, GMAT, GRE, and TOEFL preparation.
First office in Barcelona
EPIC formally opens its first office, quickly becoming the reference point in the city for students preparing to access universities and master’s programs, especially in the U.S.
Growth and consolidation
The team of tutors grows steadily, expanding the scope of programs and building EPIC’s reputation for academic excellence.
A turning point
Ramón joins, bringing a more global strategic vision that drives a new phase of growth. EPIC begins a major digital transformation: online classes, the launch of IB tutoring, and the addition of Duolingo preparation.
EPIC Prep is launched
A full rebrand marks the transition to EPIC Prep. The Madrid office opens in Paseo de la Castellana, and online teaching extends to students in Italy, Germany, and beyond.
Innovation and expansion
- EPIC opens its Milan office, strengthening ties with the Italian market.
- Launch of the Beta of Boost Your Prep, the first European-developed software specialized in SAT preparation.
- Publication of EPIC’s first Digital SAT Manual, one of the world’s earliest guides for the new exam format.
New European hub and IB growth
EPIC opens its Zurich office to serve the growing number of students across Central Europe and prepares for expansion into Dubai. At the same time, due to increasing demand, a dedicated IB department is created with specialized staff to lead and grow this area of the business.
